River Kali in Karwar, in North Coastal Karnataka, is about 9 km south of the Goa border and takes after the popular Indian Goddess Kali Ma – vibrant and alive in parts and gentle and placid in others making one wonder whether it is the same river after all. The route along which this river flows is long and winding and contributes to the different moods of the River Kali, be it in the tumbling angry waters amid dense rain forests, ideal for white-water rafting near Dandeli, or the calm, serene backwater-like feel with mangrove forests near Camp Riveredge at Hankon, ideal for canoeing, Kayaking, and tubing. Camp Riveredge Paradise is the pioneer of the river outfitting industry in Karnataka and has been operating on the Kali River for 20 years! Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment imported from the USA, we currently have over 20 kayaks and 10 canoes at our location. Additionally, our campsite is strategically located to provide a diverse selection of Kali River trips that include canoeing, kayaking, or tubing that could last an hour or the whole day. We have river trips for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Paddle through breathtaking scenery filled with abundant wildlife. You may see Hornbills, Kingfishers, Egrets, Hawks, Peacocks, Ducks, and hundreds of other birds and occasionally even River Otters, Deer, Rabbits, and much more! Stop, relax, swim – the day is yours! However you choose to spend your day on the river, remember to always wear a life jacket.
